    You will have the opportunity to savour the flavours of Tuscany, prepare traditional local food dishes with local Tuscan cooking mammas, and sample diverse, delicious wines on the road of wine and with our local sommeliers.     Day 1  Travel & Settle In


    • Collection from Pisa airport at prearranged time
    • Transfer to Tuscan farmhouse rental accommodation
    • Evening Tuscan meal with glass of wine, water, coffee or tea.



    Day 2   Perfect Pasta


    • Morning: continental breakfast & pasta making. You will learn to make gnocchi and egg pasta. Then you will sample various home-cooked pasta dishes, at a traditional trattoria served with a glass of wine, water and coffee.


    • Afternoon: Arrive back at the accommodation, spend the rest of your day relaxing. In the evening, you will cook some traditional Tuscan sauces for the pasta you have made. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink before tasting your pasta dishes, with a glass of wine, water and coffee.


    Day 3  Tuscan Bread & Authentic Pizza


    • Morning:  After breakfast and firing up the wood-burning oven, you will have a pizza dough and bread-making lesson. Learning how to duplicate this at home, from aromatic focaccia to rustic bread recipes. 


    • Afternoon:  Lunch is the bread you have made, served with a selection of meats, cheeses, wine, water and coffee. The evening will be pizza-making time, learning what toppings are traditional to Tuscany. You will cook and enjoy them straight from the wood-burning oven with a glass of wine, water, coffee and digestivo.


    Day 4 Free Day


    Day 5  Olive Oil & Wine Tasting, Lucca


    • Morning: After breakfast you will visit a vineyard to taste and  learn all about wine and olive oil at its best, before enjoying a traditional Tuscan lunch. 


    • Afternoon: Free time to explore the stunning city of Lucca, filled with bars, shops and Tuscan charm. Arriving at your accommodation, the rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Relaxing and soaking up the ambience of Tuscany in the hammocks, by the pool or in one of the many seating areas under fragrant gazebos covered with aromatic flowers or grape vines. The evening meal is a medley of olive oil-based dishes and Tuscan wines, served with fresh, cool mountain water, Italian coffee and digestivo drinks as you enjoy your last evening with us under the stars.


    Day 6  Travel Home

      What level of cooking skills do I need? None, it is aimed at people who are complete beginners to those who regularly bake and cook.


      What is the minimum needed to secure a booking? 

      The minimum number is 4 the maximum is 6 people


      Can I choose any dates? 

      Yes you can between March to November. Please bear in mind we book up quickly so you are best to contact us as early as possible to avoid disappointment and secure your date.


      Can I buy more wine or drinks to have with my meal?

      Yes, of course, drinks or a drinks package is offered at an extra cost. This can include  alcaholic and non alcaholic drink options. If you are interested let us know on booking.



      Do you cater for dietary requirements?

      Yes, simply let us know when booking any allergies or dietary requirements. They can all be catered for as your hosts have run successful food establishments, so they are qualified in food preparation. 


      If I am ill, are there medical facilities nearby?

      Yes, doctors, chemists, and the Red Cross medical station are all nearby. Hospitals are in Lucca and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana; the local Red Cross feeds into these hospitals if needed. You also have bilingual hosts who will stay with you every step of the way to translate and make sure you get what you need.


      Will we each get our own bedroom? 

      The accommodation has 3 ensuite bedrooms 2 twin bedrooms and 1 double room. If there are more than 3 in your group 2 twin rooms will be shared. If the number is 6 then the kingsized bed will also be shared.


      How will the bedrooms be allocated? 

      You can leave it to us to allocate or your lead person booking can stipulate who sleeps in which room. The choice is yours.
